John Hughes death was given a special tribute at 2010 Academy Awards

Sunday’s Oscars Ceremony the late John Hughes was honored with a special tribute. The director John Hughes death was through a heart attack in August 6, 2009, while walking in Manhattan. He was highly recognized for his teenage oriented movies like “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Pretty in Pink,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Some Kind of Wonderful.”

The director who died at 59, was not just a teen movie maker, he was also acknowledged for his outstanding adult movies like “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.”

Hughes collapsed on the streets of Manhattan with chest pains at around 8:55 a.m. He died few moments after he was raced to Roosevelt Hospital. With his funeral held on August 11th in Chicago, he left behind his wife and two sons and four grandchildren.
